Back Up to same PC?

I am new to your product and I do not understand the benefit to backing up on the same PC you are backing up. If the B/U is on the same PC and that PC crashes, what happens to the backup? I'm sorry if this is a stupid question but it makes little sense to me. I am assuming it is OK since you have quite a few subscribers.

Hi,

You can backup to the same computer but to an external drive, or a second hard drive. You can also backup to network.
We do not recommend backing up to the same hard disk.
