Backing up network folders

Post by computamedic »

Having installed FBackup 4.8 I am trying to backup several folders stored on a NAS unit but FBackup reports that "adding files/folders from the network is not allowed" when I try to add the data sources.

I've tried using the full network path and also mapping the path to a local drive letter, but neither works. I tried it on a different network by adding drive Z (a network mapped drive) and that DID work, but it won't work on the network I'm trying to backup.

Anyone have any ideas???

TIA,

Dave

Hi,

The NAS drive is a network drive, so adding files/folders from the network is not allowed. You can try our commercial edition http://www.backup4all.com which allows sources from network drives.
