Backup check

Post by alinstn »

Hello,

I am using Fbackup to backup data from some PCs to a NAS.
Is there any way I could check the destinations folders on the NAS and see if the backup was successful or not. The reason is that I use schedule backup, once a month, and it would be easier for me to check the NAS instead of verifying every computer.

Thank you.

Hi,

The email notifications feature is available only in our commercial edition: Backup4all.

Even an e-mail notification is not what we need. When you have 10,20,50,100 computers running a backup who has time to open those logs or even e-mails to make sure all files and jobs are successful.

We need a backup manager application or some sort of global logging function that spits out a list of all computers and jobs and each line item of this excel sheet can be green for go and red for stopped.
We need a global solution that we don't have to worry about and spend hours monitoring.

Would be... COMPUTER NAME / JOB NAME / SUCCESS? / FILES SKIPPED / ERROR...

Hi,

With the email feature you can configure the application to send emails in case of errors or warnings.
You can also configure the email text and subject so you can also filter the emails in your email client according with a specified tag (Error and Warning).
Every time you get an email with error it will go into the folder configured to receive emails with "Error" tag.
The same can be configured for "Warning".

In case the backup was successful, you can select to send no email.
