Hi,
The Windows Live Mail add-on cannot backup some of the files when the Mail is running at the moment. They are: edb.log, edbtmp.log, Mail.MSMessageStore, tmp.edb, contacts.edb, tempedb.edb, WLCalendarStore.edb and some other. Some of them can be omitted, I suppose (as tmp.edb), but not all of them. How to configure FBackup to make full mail backup available?
Best regards
tml

Hi,
1. Do you have the same problem if the email client is closed?
2. Do you use an administrator account? If yes, please send me the last backup log to info[at]fbackup[dot]com

Hi,
No, when the email client is closed, everything is OK. Obviously, some files are exclusively opend by the client.
Yes, I'm using an administrator account.

Backing up open files has the following limitations: It works
- only on Windows XP or newer
- only for users with administrator access rights to copy open files
- only on local hard drives
- only on NTFS formatted partitions
- only if the VSS (Volume Shadow Service) is running and it is properly configured
