Hi guys,
Trying to figure out how i can use Fbackup in my Org. I want to use it to make a database copy of Exchange. However every time I try and backup the .edb exchange file Fbackup freezes up and crashes. Fbackup said it can do Open file backups, and this usually wouldn't be done in this manor i just need a quick offsite Bup. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thank you all in advance.

Hi,
Backing up open files has the following limitations: It works
- only on Windows XP, Windows 2003 Server, Windows Vista, Windows 7 or Windows 2008
- only for users with administrator access rights to copy open files
- only on local hard drives
- only on NTFS formatted partitions
- only if the VSS (Volume Shadow Service) is running and it is properly configured
If all of the above are true and still cannot backup open files please see: http://www.backup4all.com/download/pdf/ ... ervice.pdf
