FB4 used to stay open after a backup, which I liked because it reminded me to check the log in the morning (I run a scheduled backup at 1:00am each night). FB5 closes after it backsup. Is there a way to change this?

No, "Close after run" is NOT selected. I saw that setting, and figured FB should stay open after the backup if that was not selected, but that's not what happens here. I am having other scheduler issues too, please see my next post.

OK, the issue is not that FB closes after it runs, rather the program runs in background rather than openng when the scheduled backup starts. I have selected SHOW MAIN APPLICATION (Scheduler | Edit | Properties | General).

File->Options->Startup->Scheduled startup has none of the three STARTUP and TRAY options selected and VISUALIZATION is MAXIMIZED.

I have just selected START AT WINDOWS STARTUP and SHOW TRAY ICON. We'll see if that changes things.

I have the same problem in version 5.1.596.
Any solution? The main application just doesn't open (but the backup runs perfectly in background)...

I just upgraded from version 4 to version 5. In version 4 used to open the main application...
I use Windows 7.

Please close FBackup, then go to "C:\Users\<current user>\AppData\Roaming\Softland\FBackup 5\" and rename the "Layout.ini" file.
Try again to run FBackup, do you still have the problem?

Yes, the problem still remains...

FBackup runs and opens if I execute the exe file.
However, when a backup job executes, the application doesn't open, despite the option "Show main application" is selected in the scheduler properties.
