Hi,
FBackup hit 100% on the current backup about an hour ago, and has been testing files since then.
How long does testing usually take, in relation to the time it took performing the actual backup (approx 5 hrs)?
Thanks
How long does testing take, relative to backup time?

Hi,
The testing time should be shorten than the backup time, but it depends of the destination device you use. For example, some external USB devices have the read speed less than the write speed.

Do you know you can monitor your backups remotely with Backup4all Monitor? You can read more here: https://www.backup4all.com/backup4all-monitor.html
I backed up 56 GB from C: to a Western Digital USB Passport drive.
It took 7.5 hours to backup and I canceled Testing after 5 hours of testing completed only 5%. The log shows only 65 warnings, primarily that it can't find some uninstall DLLs.
Two things I found of interest in the forums. 1. Canceling testing will not harm the backup it has completed, it of course cannot give you the peace of mind that the data has been verified. 2. Some USB drives are faster writing than reading.
Hmmm ... 7.5 hours to backup and a projected 100 hrs to test? That's 13 times as long. I guess this drive is useless for testing.
