I've set up my laptop to do a mirror backup wirelessly to a network drive. The initial backup took a number of days to finish. Following backups are quick enough.
I'm wanting to do the same thing on my wife's laptop, but don't really want to have it taking days for that initial backup.
If I was to run the initial backup with the drive plugged directly into the laptop via USB, do you think any subsequent backups would recognise that it's the same backup, and just mirror? Or would it think it's a whole new backup and start again?

Hi,
You cannot do that with FBackup as it uses a local catalog which is deleted when changing the destination.

You can do that only with Backup4all, our commercial edition. It includes an option to disable the local catalog usage.

Do you know you can monitor your backups remotely with Backup4all Monitor? You can read more here: https://www.backup4all.com/backup4all-monitor.html

Thanks for that! I'll have a closer look at the commercial edition. :)
