How does Log files, and log file storage work? I checked my Logs folder today, and saw 3 logs (one of which was FBackup.log). In contrast, I have 7 backup profiles. I would like to configure it so that the logs files are kept for a longer period of time so that I can go back in case there was a problem during the backup.
Case in point, a Weekly backup ran Sunday night at 11pm. I wasn't able to check FBackup until today, when I saw that two files were not backed up (out of 4,500 files). The log file is no longer available, so I have no idea which files were omitted and why.
Outside of micro-managing the backup process, how can I preserve these log files so that I can view them at my own discretion?

Hi,
The log files are preserved in the log folder.

How large are all the log files?

The 2 log files that are currently in the log folder are a little over 14MB each.
Yesterday, there were two log files in the log folder (not including FBackup.log). One was dated 10/2, and the other 10/3. A new job was run last night. There are still two log files in the log folder, but they are now dated 10/4, and 10/3. So it looks like the log file date 10/2 was deleted.
The log folder is located in %USER%\AppData\Roaming\Softland\FBackup 4\Logs

Hi,
The maximum limit for log files size is set to 20 MB.

If you want to keep track of more logs, you can try our commercial edition: Backup4all

If I were to upgrade to Backup4all, would it be able to retain the FBackup4 config, and backup status, or would I have to recreate all of the backup jobs?
Also, what is the log limit with Backup4all? How many logs will it preserve, and how large can they be? Are there options that allow me to control that?

Hi,
In Backup4all you have options to control that. You can set it to unlimited and many other options.
The backup configurations from FBackup can be imported in Backup4all if you go to File -> Open from version 4 and select FBackup.
