More log issues

Post by MikeyChris »

Last night the scheduled backup ran as evidenced by the actual Zip file (in the destination folder) time stamp. But when I tried to view the log I got the message "Cannot find the log file" with the path and file name following. And, in fact, there was no log file of that time stamp in the log folder. Where did the log go? I know there is a 20MB limit on the log folder, but my folder contains less than 100MB of data. Any idea where the log went?

Hi,

Which folder contains less than 100 MB of data?

Oops, that was a typo. It should have been 10 MB in the log folder.

Hi,

We will increase the size of the log folder. I think the problem is related as there could have been a larger log which is now already deleted.

For the last two nights the scheduled backup ran as it should and logged as it should.

I made two changes to my setup:

1) File | Options | Startup | START AT WINDOWS STARTUP is selected

2) File | Options | Startup | SHOW ICON IN TRAY is selected

Should those two item HAVE to be selected a scheduled backup to open FBackup 5?

Hi,

No, they should not be related to the problem you reported.
