using FBackup 5.5 build 839 is very slow

Post by fitness88 »

After installing FBackup 5.5 build 839 I find the backups are slower. It seems to be the testing phase of the backup is what's taking so long.
Actually I noticed this with the last update as well.
Can I roll back to my last good version?

Thank you.

Hi,

What version you had before?
You can disable the test after backup from Backup Properties->Advanced page.

If I cancel the testing phase I lose verification that the backup files were done correctly.
The version I'm using is from 2 updates ago.

Can I install the older version over the current one or do I need to first uninstall the entire program?

Also I notice with the current version the 'testing' phase goes through all the files or at least most. With the older version it tested a fraction of the files.

Hi,

You can install the latest version of FBackup over the previous one without firs uninstalling it.
Just make sure FBackup is closed when you run the new setup.

The testing phase will test all files in that backup execution.

Thank you for your reply.
Actually I was not asking about installation of latest version over older version...I was asking about older version installation over newer version because newer version takes too long.

Hi,

In this case, you need to first uninstall the newer version before installing the old one.
