Like, I suppose, many users, I am always leery of installing a new version of a program I am very satisfied with. I see that older backup jobs can be imported to the new version. I know the new version is into its final state, but are there any possible glitches that could occur with this?
Also, will I have any problems recognizing how to use the new version? (I suppose that might depend on my degree of dumbness).

Re: version 5
I also have a few questions about FB5.
1) I noticed there are no plugins for My Documents or My Pictures. Are these still available for FB5? http://www.backup4all.com/backup-plugins.html
2) Does FB5 have the ability to do "group backups", as did FB4?
3) Is there a user guide available for FB5?

@tay: the user manual can be downloaded from: http://www.fbackup.com/download/pdf/User-Manual.pdf
We tested the application here and all problems found were fixed. The import from FBackup 4 works fine, if you still want to have a backup of the FBackup 4 configurations and jobs, you can back them up using the FBackup plugin.
@msc:
1. The plugins are still available in FBackup 5. If they do not appear in the plugins list when creating a new backup job, you can find and install them from the "Plugins" folder under FBackup 5 installation folder (usually in C:\Program Files (x86)\Softland" folder).
2. FBackup 4 had only the default group, no extra groups were available. That feature is available only in Backup4all.
3. Yes, here is the User Manual: http://www.fbackup.com/download/pdf/User-Manual.pdf

Re: version 5
Thank you.
Regarding my question #2, does FBackup 5 have the ability to do the same type of "default" group backup, as FB4 did?
I back up all my jobs every night, then auto shutdown.

Re: version 5
Hi,
FBackup 5 does not have a default group.
FBackup 5 does not have a default group.
Re: version 5
That's unfortunate. As Group Backup is a very convenient feature, and it was removed from v5, I think I'll be staying with v4.8.
Thank you.
Thank you.
