I was hoping someone could help me. I cannot get a successful backup because of one file. The message that comes up in the backup log is [2/8/2011 10:24:18 PM] Warning: Skipping file C:\Documents and Settings\All Users\Application Data\Microsoft\Crypto\RSA\MachineKeys\3ad391678a806ec4d691e83aaa393b6f_24adf822-76f7-4481-b30b-ff1b40f8687f

Source error (code 5). Access is denied.
Am I just stuck with this issue or is there a way this file can be disregarded during the backup? Thanks,

I am new to this software but i believe the issue you are having is trying to back up a file that is in use by the windows system. Try not backing up Application Data folder as it will not help you all that much in a system crash. Application data is just what it sounds like a place where applications you have installed have their data stores and often access it. This is the same type of error you would get if you have Outlook open and tried to copy the PST file. Or if you had a document open in word or adobe or something that was trying to be backedup it would fail because you have file open. I hope this helps.

Hi,
In case of an open document or open PST file, FBackup will be able to back up those files.

That is a system related file so please open Backup Properties->Sources and uncheck the

C:/Documents and Settings/All Users/Application Data/Microsoft folder

Do you know you can monitor your backups remotely with Backup4all Monitor? You can read more here: https://www.backup4all.com/backup4all-monitor.html
