Re: UGH! Mirror backup deletes backup if source drive failed

I totally agree with Dahlgren, I wasn't aware that FBackup would delete my BACKUP files if the source drive was unavailable, this is just insanity. Why would anybody want to have FBackup delete their entire backup files for an entire source drive, just because the source drive isn't there? Why would...

<t>Hi, I ran FBackup last week to back up a 2TB hard drive, and on several occasions during the backup it stopped, and a message came up, something like 'Can't write file' and then the name of the file, 'Retry, Ignore, Cancel', or something like that - I chose 'Retry', and it carried on fine.<br/> I...

<t>Hi Admin, I'm very sorry but this was my fault (yet again), I was backing up to a new hard drive (the old back up was on a hard drive which I had to use as my main drive) and the old backup's .fkc files were still on the hard drive, and I think I had two for the same backup, one older than the ot...

<t>Hi, I've just set up a new backup of a 1TB hard drive, to an external 2TB hard drive. I have maybe 20 folders on the 1TB drive, and I've ticked 17 of them. If I expand the folders, it shows all the folders within are also ticked.<br/> I ran FBackup and some of these folders contain 20 more folder...

Thanks very much, I looked in Task Scheduler again and found it - I remember accidentally setting it up using Windows' Task Scheduler when I first set up the backup.

<t>Hi, I have a backup that is supposed to run at 20:00 every evening, according to the scheduler (using the built-in scheduler), but it also runs again at 21:00 every evening, and I can't work out why. I checked in the Windows 7 Task Scheduler, and it isn't in there, does anybody know why it keeps ...

<t>Hi, for some reason, the folder "System Volume Information", which I haven't ticked, because I don't see it in my hard drive directory, is always saved to the backup hard drive. How do I stop this? I can show you a screenshot of the source drive, to show it doesn't exist (allegedly), as far as th...

Many thanks, I was able to disable the tasks from the Task Scheduler, didn't have to remove them.
