Re: FBackup V9 stops at 61% - anyone else seen this?

Hi, In FBackup 9, please open Backup Properties->Type page. Uncheck the "Copy files using Windows native API". Press Save and see if you still have the problem. If the problem still exists, can you please send us the last backup log for the backup executed with version 9? Send it to info[at]fbackup[...

Hi,

845 GB in 5 hours means an average of 14 GB in 5 minutes for FBackup.

Re: FBackup to Google Drive creates copies of files.

Hi Dmaner,

Do you have the latest version of FBackup 9.8.699 installed?
If not, please install it and see if you still have the "update catalog" problem.

How fast would be if you manually copy few GB from Z drive to external drive Y: ? Is the external drive conn...

Re: Very slow program start

Hi, FBackup gets the list of the available drives from Windows and it does not know which one is connected, disconnected or available only on access. If there is a network computer in sleep which wakes up on lan access, there needs to be some retries with a wait time between, in order to access thos...

Re: FireFox plugin

Hi,

The file "places.sqlite" stores the annotations, bookmarks, favorite icons, input history, keywords, and browsing history. You can back up and restore only this file which is located in the profile folder of Mozilla Firefox.

Re: Hard drive failed. How do I restore the data?

Hi,

You can open the .fkc catalog file in FBackup (from File->Open) and you will be able to restore the backup with FBackup.
You can also use WinZip or 7zip to extract the zip file. These applications should be able to handle large zip files.

Re: FBackup deletes my backup when I try to run it while my drive is under a different letter

Hi,

If the backup destination drive is not found, the backup is not executed.
FBackup does not delete the backups in destination for no reason.

In order to find what happened, please send us all the backup logs for that job and also the .fkc catalog file from destination, to info[at]fbackup[dot]com
