Re: Deleted files are not removed from backup!

Adrian: Now I see I don 't have to wait. I can send you a recent backup log and the catalog file from my AppData\Roaming\Softland\FBackup 9. I will sent them to the email address you gave. Looking forward to your reply.

Re: Deleted files are not removed from backup!

Thanks Adrian for your reply. I had to reformat the destination and start over, so the present backup is fine. I will wait a few days for a future backup to have the problem and then send the log and catalog files that you need.

Re: Deleted files are not removed from backup!

I should clarify. It is only DELETED FOLDERS that are not being removed from the destination. Files are being deleted fine, resulting in empty folders, but the empty folders are gone in the source and should be deleted at the destination too. Why are they not? As a result, my backups finish with man...

Re: Deleted files are not removed from backup!

Fine, but my problem is not to files, but rather folders that have been deleted at the source along with their content files. These folders are not being deleted, and they remain as empty folders in subsequent backups.

Re: Deleted files aren't removed from destination

It's 2024 and many update versions later. I'm having the this same problem. In mirror backup folders deleted from SOURCE are not getting deleted from DESTINATION. The box for 'remove excluded or deleted files' is checked. Doing more backups 2 days later doesn't make a difference -- the deleted folde...

Re: FBackup 6.4 won't delete certain files when mirroring

This is happening to me too. Same setup (mirror, etc). When I rename a folder containing a tree of folders and files, and run a backup, the destination gets the contents under a folder of the new name and fails to delete folder of the old name which has the same contents. The destination ends up wit...

Re: Latest Update contains Virus!

Before I knew about your fixed version I uninstalled and reinstalled the older 9.8.682 version of fbackup that last worked for me. I also had to throw out my entire destination backup, as it seemed corrupted and I still got hung trying use it. Had to make a completely new backup job.

Re: Latest Update contains Virus!

Which version do you recommend that I reinstall. The latest seemed to cause the problem so perhaps an earlier version?

Re: Latest Update contains Virus!

Today (2 Jan 2023) I too got a virus warning when trying to install version 9.8.702. My windows defender aborted the installation. Please tell me what to do about this. Just wait for the next version of FBackup?
