Since the automatic update today to 9.8 build 677 backups failed to run. Bit Defender says that the file bBbackup.exe is infected with a virus Gen:Variant.Babar.68746
Is this a fake call or true?

Re: Network authentification failed
I think that there are some issues here with privileges. Yet again, after an update the scheduled backups failed to run, but user initiated backups are OK. Previously when this happened, it worked after I used the 'test connection' button on the backup destinations (NAS) for each job. On one occasio...

Re: Warning: Size of file in destination is different than size stored in catalogue
File size issue seems resolved. After upgrading to the newest version, I was surprised when a backup I make from local files to a local Onedrive directory must have copied almost half the contents again despite being 'up to date'. Not sure if this is due to issues from a bad catalogue from the previ...

Re: Warning: Size of file in destination is different than size stored in catalogue
I posted in another thread the same. Mine is doing a fast mirror backup for changed files only. "Same again today with a simple text file. Warning message was.. [29/03/2021 12:40:38] Warning: Size of file "\\xxxx\Books Needed in progress.txt" in destination (4088) is different than th...

Re: Mirror Backup Corrupted Destination Files
Interesting comment. I had an XLS file (closed since the day before) and that copied in a mirror backup with a warning on a size difference - and excel had to repair the file. The same file had a mirror backup an hour later to a separate NAS box with the same discrepancy in the catalog. Not sure how...

Re: No backups running after upgrading from v8.9 to 9.0
Hi. Although my initial issue was the Fast Backup not working (which is now fixed), I also had an issue with access denied on scheduled backups. I found that ny right clicking on the FBackuop program (in the \programs folder) I added my name to the permissions as well as changing all users to full a...

Re: FB9, Fast mirror
I emailed my Fkc and log files and the problem has now been recreated.
Hopefully an update is imminent.
I see that the shadow copy for open files also is not available?

Re: FB9, Fast mirror
I will email a log and FKC file.
I have tried with a new job created and that seemed to work - it is imported jobs which fail.

Re: FB9, Fast mirror
Same here. Very, very frustrating.
I have thousands of files going to a local synched cloud directory and do not want to upload them all over again.
Even with a fast NAS box it is a real pain.
Thank you.
