Re: FbackUp vs Win server 2022
After a Windows "Patch Tuesday" update, if I start FBackup normally (or let a job start) it'll pop-up a message asking if I want to re-start a service (don't recall if mentions Fbackup service or IPC service) but it just sticks in a loop repeatedly asking that. If you choose to to restart ...

Re: FbackUp vs Win server 2022
I usually find that after a Windows update that I need to run FBackup with "Run as Admin" once, otherwise the IPC Service won't start. After that it works fine until the next Windows update.

OK, a third job has produced these same warnings. This time the resulting files are small enough to zip and email. Sent now.

Re: Log warning for missing folder that is not missing
I can add further, for information, that second backup job using 9.0.198, a little smaller, also generated a similar set of warnings during the test phase about missing folders despite having already logged that the contents of folder were saved. However, a third, much smaller job has just completed...

Re: Log warning for missing folder that is not missing
I'll add a "me too" on this topic - I've also just upgraded from v8 to v9, migrated across my jobs and the first one I run reports 2911 Warnings for folders reported as missing from the backup zip during test (it's only ever entire folders that are reported missing, not files). Checking th...

Re: FBackup V8 very slow with warnings
I had the same issue after updating from 7.4 to 8.0.122 - backup jobs taking 3x-6x longer than normal and with many files skipped with the "TLFNFileStream.CreateFile failed (srFileOpenError)" warning. Updating to 8.0.129 seemed to help a bit - backup jobs seemed a little quicker and there ...
