Re: Terms used in the log

OK, I'm getting more confused by the minute. I just did a test backup and then restore. Part of the Restore Log is below. Note I have NO RESTORE Privileges (RePriv). How was I able to retore if I did not have RePriv? How do I get RePriv to be TRUE? [9/10/2013 8:53:27 AM] FBackup 5.0.182 [9/10/2013 8...

Re: starting FB5 restarted install

Yes, whenever I use FBackup I am logged in as admin. In fact (and I know I should stop doing this) I am always logged in as me (admin) unless I surf the web (I use a limited standard user account then). Since I do a lot of file manipulation, program installs/modifications, etc. it is just easier to ...

Re: Terms used in the log

Thanx for the info. But you didn't address the reasons why: "I was logged in as me (admin), so I guess that is what the TRUE means (i.e. YES). What are the other two terms (BkPriv/RePriv)? When I searched the forums, it looked like in most logs, both of those terms were True, so I was wondering...

starting FB5 restarted install

After running FB5 for a couple days, I have a couple issues today. First, when I started FB5 this morning to check the log, a window popped up telling me something like Windows was configuring FB5 for installaltion. Not sure what that was all about as I had not seen that before, and had been using F...

Terms used in the log

Could someone please explain the following terms used in the *.backup.log files: Admin/BkPriv/RePriv : True/False/False I was logged in as me (admin), so I guess that is what the TRUE means (i.e. YES). What are the other two terms (BkPriv/RePriv)? When I searched the forums, it looked like in most l...

Re: Notepad slow to open in FBackup

Hi, Thanx for the reply. "In this case, the problem is not from FBackup. Please see the size of the log file. Is that a large file? You can open the logs folder and manually open a log from that location using Notepad. The speed should be the same." I understand your point, however, the is...

Re: Major bug with fbackup 5

Hello, I am running Win 7 Pro SP1 64 Bit on a Lenovo ThinkCentre M70e 4 GB Mem, 500GB internal HDD, 2TB interal SSD and two 2TB USB drives. I just installed Fbackup Version 5 (had used 4 for years). I did a large MIRROR yesterday (about 190 GB) and the backup took over 10 hours, and the TEST took ab...

Notepad slow to open in FBackup

This has been an ongoing issue since early in version 4 and continues with version 5. I am running Win 7 Pro SP1 64 Bit on a Lenovo ThinkCentre M70e 500GB internal HDD, 2TB interal SSD and two 2TB USB drives. When I open an FBackup log (inside FB) Notepad often takes 5 to 30 seconds to open, Sometim...

make sure you don't have other applications that could remove the log files.

How would I do this? Any idea why another program would do this? Thanx.
