Using FBackup you cannot backup from a network source.
In this case, you need our commercial product: Backup4all.

You can backup to the same computer but to an external drive, or a second hard drive. You can also backup to network.
We do not recommend backing up to the same hard disk.

Are you saying that the Full backup type did not create zip files in destination, but the files are copied in the original format?
Please send us the .fkc catalog file from destination and also a screenshot with the destination files.

That option is not available in FBackup, but only in our commercial edition Backup4all.
The checkbox you saw was removed as it was not working on FBackup.
