In FBackup you can use filters only for files.

There is no need to manually delete the backup files.

If you used the Full backup type, the old backup will be automatically overwritten when you run the next backup.
If you used the Mirror backup type, the old backup will be updated with new and modified files.

Please make sure you have the latest version which is now 5.0.460

By default, the Mirror backup files are only updated with the new and modified files. Please send me the complete backup log to info[at]fbackup[dot]com and also the .fkc catalog file from the backup destination.
