Re: Question about restores on FBackup 5

Hi,

In FBackup, you can restore only the latest backup version. If you want to keep track of multiple backup versions, please try our commercial version: Backup4all.

Re: Warning Messages after Backup

Hi,

Do you use an administrator account?
Please make sure no other application is using those files during the backup execution (antivirus or something).

Re: Uninstall before updating ?

Hi,

There is no need to uninstall FBackup 4 in order to install FBackup 5, as it is a different application and will be installed near FBackup 4.
However, after importing the backup jobs in FBackup 5, you can uninstall FBackup 4 from your computer.

Re: FB5: vscsrv.exe frequently crashes

Hi,

Does it also crashes for smaller backup jobs too?
How large is the backup job that you are trying to run, when the vscsrv.exe crashes?

Re: Restored data with errors: too long file path?

Hi,

No, you cannot shorten the file path automatically during restore as that will result in a different path.
Try to rename the zip file to a shorten name and restore it to C: drive using Windows Explorer.

Re: Can back-up because "the media is write protected"?

Hi,

What is the destination drive type you want to use?
Can you write files on that drive using Windows Explorer?

Re: I have two versions now - help please

Hi,

We recommend you to continue using FBackup 5 and uninstall FBackup 4.
The development will continue only for FBackup 5.
