Hi,
Please close FBackup and rename these folders:
C:\Users\Dad\AppData\Roaming\Softland\FBackup 6
c:\ProgramData\Softland\FBackup 6\
Open FBackup, it will start with no jobs.
Make sure the bservice.exe process started too.
Create a new backup job and run it.
Do you still have the problem?

Re: Installing Fb 6.4 on Win10 64b
Hi,
We don't have such problems here.
Do you need to run the compatibility mode only for installation? or all the time.
If all the time, what is the error received if running it without compatibility mode?

Re: FBackup 6.4 won't delete certain files when mirroring
Hi,
If you look in the backup logs for the execution when those files should have been deleted, are they listed in log as being deleted?
What is different between the files deleted and the one remaining in destination?

Re: Drive leter changed from E to G - no longer works
Hi,
You can right click the "My Computer" icon, select Manager->Drive Management.
Change the drive letters as they were before.
Restart FBackup and you can continue the backups.

Re: Which drive to install FB backup on?
Hi, The .fkc catalog file can be found in the backup destination too. If for some reasons you can no longer access the laptop, just connect the external destination drive to another computer and open the .fkc catalog file in FBackup on that computer. The backup job will be recreated in FBackup so yo...

Re: Smart file scanning mode?
Hi, The "Smart file scanning mode" option is used only if the total number of source files is larger than 25,000 files. Otherwise the backup could be slower. Depending on the backup frequency and the total number of file changes on that hard drive, the option can be useful or not. If you r...

Hi,
Please try to use another USB port for that drive. Make sure the connection is not interrupted.
Do you still have the problem?

Re: Resored files and folders are read only
Hi,
Were the files restored with the same permissions?
Do they have specific permissions to the old user account which no longer exists?
What about if you restore them to another location?
