Re: UPDATED>FBackup 5.5.839 is adding check marks to unwanted
Hi, Is there any new or modified file to be backed up when you run the backup? If not, please add or edit a file and run again the backup. Was the file deleted now? No modified files to be backed up. Repeating the backup procedure several times, the file eventually got deleted on the backup, I didn...

Re: UPDATED>FBackup 5.5.839 is adding check marks to unwanted
Let me clarify. An example would be deleting a file from the source after it has already been previously backed up. When running my next backup I notice that the file that was deleted at source is still showing up in the backup. The log file does not indicate it was deleted. Also in the properties>s...

UPDATED>FBackup 5.5.839 is adding check marks to unwanted
UPDATED: When backing up to a USB memory stick the backup does not always delete files that have been deleted from the source since the last backup. Log file supports this issue as it too does not show the deletion. -----------------------------------------------------------------------------------...

Re: using FBackup 5.5 build 839 is very slow
Hi, You can install the latest version of FBackup over the previous one without firs uninstalling it. Just make sure FBackup is closed when you run the new setup. The testing phase will test all files in that backup execution. Thank you for your reply. Actually I was not asking about installation o...

Re: using FBackup 5.5 build 839 is very slow
Can I install the older version over the current one or do I need to first uninstall the entire program?
Also I notice with the current version the 'testing' phase goes through all the files or at least most. With the older version it tested a fraction of the files.

Re: using FBackup 5.5 build 839 is very slow
If I cancel the testing phase I lose verification that the backup files were done correctly.
The version I'm using is from 2 updates ago.

using FBackup 5.5 build 839 is very slow
After installing FBackup 5.5 build 839 I find the backups are slower. It seems to be the testing phase of the backup is what's taking so long.
Actually I noticed this with the last update as well.
Can I roll back to my last good version?
Thank you.

Re: FBackup 5, a huge step down from 4
The earlier 5.0 builds were slow but Build 5.0.242 is much faster than 4.0 and I never see errors or warnings anymore.

understanding notifications
I would like to find information that better describes the message type in notifications. I've read the program's help but it didn't give anything on the meaning of the individual message types. Here is the list of all message types: · Action started · Action finished with success · Action finished ...
