Hi,
You can open the .fkc catalog file in FBackup (from File->Open) and you will be able to restore the backup with FBackup.
You can also use WinZip or 7zip to extract the zip file. These applications should be able to handle large zip files.

Re: FBackup deletes my backup when I try to run it while my drive is under a different letter
Hi,
If the backup destination drive is not found, the backup is not executed.
FBackup does not delete the backups in destination for no reason.
In order to find what happened, please send us all the backup logs for that job and also the .fkc catalog file from destination, to info[at]fbackup[dot]com

Re: FBackup9 won't start a backup job
Hi,
I could not reproduce the problem using Bitdefender Total Security. No issue is reported.
Also we tested FBackup on virustotal and no infections were found.
It seems to be a false positive.
Please put the bbackup.exe process in the exceptions list of the antivirus.

Re: FBackup9 won't start a backup job
Hi,
Which version of FBackup do you use?
Please make sure you have the latest version 9.8.677
Also make sure the bservice.exe process is not blocked by the firewall/antivirus.

Re: Duplicate files and folders after renaming
Hi, If you rename a source folder, it will be considered a new folder and it will be backed up with the new name. The old folder should be removed from the backup destination if the "Remove excluded or deleted files from backup" option is selected and there is at least one new or modified ...

Re: Google Drive backup testing is very slow.
Hi,
The difference is visible for larger files (>100 MB).
Multithreading is used to process large files in multiple threads, not for processing a bunch of files in each thread.

Re: Google Drive backup testing is very slow.
Hi,
In version 9.8 of FBackup there is multithreading implemented.
All file types are processed the same way for FBackup.
Please make sure the antivirus is not scanning those image files on accessing.

Re: Google Drive backup testing is very slow.
Hi, There is a communication (request - response) with the Google Drive service for each file. Sometimes the response from Google Drive can be delayed or if you have many files, the server could respond slower after a while. A solution is to use the Full backup type which puts all files in a zip arc...

Re: Tracking down log file errors
Hi,
The telemetry data seems to be something less important.
But you can check the permissions for those files. Try to manually copy them to another location.
What about if you run the backup with Thunderbird closed?
Does it works?

Hi,
The indications in log are to search for "warning: " with a space after ":"
The same for "error: "
