If you have file names with different characters than English, they could not be correctly named in the backup if Unicode is not supported.

Starting with version 4.2, FBackup does support Unicode and different characters in file names will be correctly backed up.

There are multiple fixes between these builds. You should not have problems using in build 142 a backup created with build 139.
