After restoring files I find all the restored files cannot be opened although they look the same byte size etc - they all report they are corrupt and refuse to initialise. These are not zip files just straight forward MS DOC etc.

You didn't say what OS, or what the error message is. Did you try right clicking one and select Properties, Security, and see if you have rights to the file?

Hi,
What error message you received during the restore? If there was no error message, please manually extract a file from the zip file in destination.

Use an application to compare those files.

What is the difference?

Do you know you can monitor your backups remotely with Backup4all Monitor? You can read more here: https://www.backup4all.com/backup4all-monitor.html
