I've been running backup happily for several weeks but today the program fails to load either from the icon or from the list of programs. Anyone any ideas please?

Hi,
Does the fbackup.exe process starts in Task Manager?

Have you tried to restart the computer and try again to open FBackup?

Thanks for that, after I rebooted the program worked just fine. Who knows why computers do what they do?

11/10/12... I have this same problem after a period of time. The daily backups just stop executing, and I can't open FBackup w/o a reboot. This happens about every 5-10 days. But I don't want to have to keeping worrying "did my backup run"... and having to reboot the PC is not a fix, just a band aid. Do you know what is going on... so I can fix this issue?
Also, will Mirror Backups run if there are no files changed that day?
Thanks.

Hi,
When FBackup does not start, please make sure it is not already running in background. Open Task Manager and see if the fbackup.exe process is running.
If there are no files changed, FBackup will run but will only create the log file with the information there are no files to be backed up.

Well, I have tested this recurring issue and it seems to occur about once per month (see below). Stopping the FBackup*32.exe Process allows me to Manually run that night's skipped Backup and the Auto-Backup runs again for about a month. This is like having to check daily "if" your freezer has quit running.
How can we stop this cycle of monthly intervention... actually fix the issue?
TEST OF INTERMITTENT AUTO-BACKUP FAILURE:
Did not run on:
• 02/21/13 it did not run… stopped auto executing

o It could not get FBackup to execute

o The FBackup*32.exe Process was running in the background

o I shut it down

o I could then run FBackup manually

o Auto backup started running again the next morning
• 01/20/13 it did not run… stopped auto executing

o It could not get FBackup to execute

o The FBackup*32.exe Process was running in the background

o I shut it down

o I could then run FBackup manually

o Auto backup started running again the next morning
• 12/8/12 it did not run… stopped auto executing
