I can't open jpeg/tif files from back-uped copies. I did not set for compressing files.
If I copy it and move to desk top, I can open it. I can open MP4 back-uped files although thumbnails are not shown any images.
Photo property (example)
Size xxxx KB
compressed xxxx KB (same size as above)
method saved
CRC-32 46373EE7 (this # changes depend on the file)
Index 12798 (this # changes depend on the file)
Is it normal that we can’t open those files?
Can't open jpeg.tif (or more kind of)files

What is the backup type you used: Full or Mirror?

Hi,
The compressed files cannot be just open as the other files uncompressed.
Probably when you copy the file to desktop, it is uncompressed.
You need to extract those files from archive before opening them.
