Cannot do Full Backup to Google Drive

Post by Roann »

I have been using FBackup quite successfully to do mirror backups of all my data & users folders to an external drive which is connected to my pc. This has been working well, scheduled to run each day. I am using Windows 7.
I have just paid for Google Drive Storage so that I could run additional backups to that. I have tried several time over the last 2 days to get this to work but so far no backup job has completed successfully. I have tested the connection to Google Drive several times for each backup job & they have all been successful.
I have just tried completing my smallest backup job - about 1 GB data - using "Full" backup so that it is compressed into a zipped folder. I have not use encryption. The backup job does most of the job in less than 2 minutes and then it just sits there - the grey/blue box in the job list says 100% uploading . for the first few minutes Action says "Uploading" but then that changes to "idle". When I try to abort the backup it just sits there continuously saying it is "aborting". The only way I can get it to cancel is to kill the Fbackup processes in the Task Manager or shutdown my pc to force Fbackup to stop running.
I am hoping you can help me find out why I cannot get FBackup to backup to my Google Drive account please. I have just paid for 12 month upfront for 1TB of storage so I am hoping I can make good use of it!
Thanks in advance.
Attached is the job log for this incomplete job....... No it's not - I cannot get the text file or the pdf file copy of the log to attach.
Please let me know if you need it & how I can sent it to you.
I am feeling very very frustrated at present!

Sorry, I misunderstood.
I can attach the log to an email no problems, but the email I received requesting the log has disappeared from my emails! Can someone please resend an email for me to reply with the log.
Thanks so much.

Hi,

I am not sure about the issue reported as it's been a while since February.
