I often run into a problem finishing an incremental back up. The following error is generated:
Preparing shadow copy

[4/25/2011 2:00:43 AM] Shadow copy created.

[4/25/2011 2:01:00 AM] Close catalog file "C:\Users\Stewart\AppData\Roaming\Softland\FBackup 4\fkcFiles\Incr Backup.fkc"

[4/25/2011 2:01:00 AM] Error: Backup aborted. Reason:

Cannot create a file when that file already exists
If I delete it it starts over and creates the file. Is it the file on the destination drive that cannot be created? What's set wrong?

Hi,
Do you have enough permissions to overwrite this file?

"C:/Users/Stewart/AppData/Roaming/Softland/FBackup 4/fkcFiles/Incr Backup.fkc"

Do you know you can monitor your backups remotely with Backup4all Monitor? You can read more here: https://www.backup4all.com/backup4all-monitor.html

According to the Security tab under properties, I do. I checked the file and all folders all the way up and have all permissions.

Hi,
Do you have the latest version of FBackup?

Can you give us access to your computer?

Ver 4.4 Build 218.
Interesting. The back up scheduled for last night did run albeit with warnings for files not backed up which is explainable. This is after a couple of weeks of failures such as the one I started this string about.
Yes, we can work out a way for you to connect.
