Each backup starts from scratch - PLEASE HELP

Post by yoavt »

Hi,
Please assist me with the following problem.
I am using the latest version of FBackup (and have not experienced this problem with previous versions).
My settings are Mirror Backup without compression.
When I start the backup process, FBackup completely deletes the contents of my destination drive, and then starts the backup.
How do I set it up so that only new files from the source drive are added to the destination drive, and files that were deleted from the source drive are deleted from the destination drive?, meaning that only the deltas since the previous backup should be processed.
Please help.
Thank you!

Hi,

By default, when using the Mirror backup type, only new and modified files should be added to backup.
Please send us the last backup log and also the .fkc catalog file from the backup destination to info[at]fbackup[dot]com

I am using ver 4.xx because I haven't found the " built in" scheduler in ver 5.xx
That said, in the properties of your back up, go to the scheduler and there you will find a check box to clear the previous backup. If you uncheck it, it may solve your issue.
