FBackup 6.0 file verification extremely slow

I have the same Issue, I upgraded prematurely I guess.

I have well over a half million files or even more, not sure exactly how many there are to backup... it's been making the file list for over 3 hours now. Is the only solution to downgrade at this point?


update: just to let you know how bad this really is, I'm now at almost 900,000 files and counting, backup still not started, been running for over 6 hours now.

I'm not bbatchman77, but since I have the same problem, I answer: in my case it's Windows 7 Ultimate 64-bit and no, even if I change one single file, the creating files list process takes very long.

Just to be sure, since I noticed the title of the thread could be confusing, I want to point out that the problem is at the start of the backup, when it says creating files list, not the final test verification.

EDIT:
I did a test backup. I created a new backup from scratch and it has the same problem. You said that you did a backup of 300,000 files: with the speed I am experiencing this would be impossible.

I am having the same problem. Upgraded from FBackup 5.5 to 6. Opened .fkc from backup media and started backup. The "creating file list" process took 8 hours, whereas previously it would be about 2-3 minutes. The backup itself took the normal amount of time.

I am running Windows 7 64-bit. I have about 470,000 files in total, of which about 46,000 were changed and added in this backup.

I have switched back to using Fbackup 5.5 until this problem is fixed.

Please download it from wetransfer: http://we.tl/3UvYikZJ5e
Open the Backup Properties->Advanced and uncheck the "Smart file scanning mode" option.
Press Save and run the backup. Let us know if the problem still exists.
