Fbackup 4.4. build 205 does not shut down the system when the backup is finished. I have always 5 warnings (always the same) and it displays in NotePad but the computer is not shutdown even though I have the shutdown option selected in the advanced option screen.

Is it because I have warnings the shutdown command is not taken into account?

Hi,
Yes, that is because of the warnings.

What warnings do you receive?

Do you know you can monitor your backups remotely with Backup4all Monitor? You can read more here: https://www.backup4all.com/backup4all-monitor.html

I'm running Vista Business and have the same problem that the schedule backup runs but not the shutdown WHEN THE USER IS IDLE. Shutdown works if your active when the schedule backup is runnning. I think the problem is in Vista SCHEDULER forcing other jobs to close since it's impossible for me to just make a schedule shutdown with Vista SCHEDULER (without F4). I,v adjusted all the parameters so the job should run if your loged in or not, wake the computer ...

Any suggestions - i'm willing to test any ideas there is.

Hi,
Do you use an administrator account?

Is there any other user logged on in that moment?

You need to solve this problem in Vista scheduler and after that try again with the FBackup Scheduler.

1. Yes I use an administrator account that is logged off automatically after 30 min = idle

2. No there is no other user logged on

3. I don't know the solution in Task Scheduler (Vista Scheduler) since the backup works but not the power down. As I wrote earlier "Shutdown works if your active when the schedule backup is running" = you get the question if you wont to abort shutdown.

4.it's impossible to just make a basic task that schedule shutdown with Task Scheduler (without F4) = SHUTDOWN.EXE /s /f /p if your logged off = idle

5.I don't have BackupAll and I see no reason for the moment when F4 is excellent for my needs and I do doubt that this problem disappears in B4.

I do believe that this is a Vista problem somehow not solved by you (or any else what I have seen).

I do hope I succeeded in describing the problem in an understandable way.

Best regards/NisseO

Hi,
It seems the problem is on your computer as you should be able to set the Vista scheduler to shutdown your computer.
