I have configured an backup using ZIP encryption.

When i saved&run the backup, all went fine.
But when i restart the application it says it haves an config error. The option in backup properties/compression > standard encryption has not been set.
When i set it, and saves all goes fine. When i exit the application and restart it the option is gone again.
Problem consist on multiple computers, fresh install and fresh backup job didnt solve it.

Hi,
Please send us the .fkc catalog for that job from the backup destination to info[at]fbackup[dot]com

Do you know you can monitor your backups remotely with Backup4all Monitor? You can read more here: https://www.backup4all.com/backup4all-monitor.html

Hi,
I found the problem in your configurations but I wasn't able to reproduce it here for a new backup job.
Please open Backup Properties->Advanced. Un-check the "Clear backup" option and press Save.

Hi,
I did. Then, i started the backup job. After the job finished, i quit the application.

After a restart of the application, the problem is not solved.
But, i think it wouldnt resolve the problem, the option just clears the old backup before creating a new one.

Hi,
Please make sure you have enough permissions to edit the settings. It works just fine here, after restarting the application, all settings are preserved. After the first backup here, I checked again the "Clean backup" option and now is working fine with that option checked.
Please create a new backup job and see if you still have the problem.

Same problem here.
When you create the job, the encryption radio button is checked correctly (Standard encryption) and you can backup the files with password. However, when I restart FBackup the two radio buttons (No encryption/Standard encryption)are all cleared and bakcup fails because the encryption method is not set.
Any plan to fix it soon?

I have had exactly the same problem that Martin describes. I have used fbackup for about two years, and have encountered this problem only with the latest release of the software (Version 4.6, Build 263). Thanks for looking into this.
