I've successfully used Fbackup for some time on my old HDD. Last night I ran a scheduled backup on my new SSD and when I checked this morning it had only completed 4% after over 5 hours of running. Does that sound right?

Hi,
Please send us the last backup log from View->Job Logs->Last backup log to info[at]fbackup[dot]com

Do you know you can monitor your backups remotely with Backup4all Monitor? You can read more here: https://www.backup4all.com/backup4all-monitor.html

I've tried sending you the file you asked for but I think it must be too big for my ISP. It's over 26MB. Is that normal? Do you need the whole file or can I reduce it somehow?

Well, I guess no response is forthcoming. I hope you don't think I'm going to buy your "PRO" version based upon the spectacular technical support here.

Hi,
We received over 40 invalid emails from you. We also sent you a response asking you to zip the log file and send it to us normally by attaching it to email.
Today, a new set of invalid emails arrived again.
If you cannot send it attached normally to email, please upload it to a free file transfer website.

I did everything you asked me to do and you failed to respond for over 2 days. It's not my fault that your log file is too big to send by regular e-mail. this can't be the first time this has happened. I have uploaded the file to a free service as you requested so the ball is in your court.

Hi,
I sent you several emails asking you to zip the file in order to reduce its size. You told me it has 26 MB zipped. That is not true as it has 26 MB unzipped and 0.9 MB zipped. It is easier to send a file of 0.9 MB in the email attachment.
With all due respect, you should read carefully our indications as we are trying to help you. If you would zip and send us the log file earlier (not in the weekend), the response would have come to you earlier.
About the problem you have: please note FBackup was not designed for system backup nor for installed applications backup. It was designed for data files backup.

Please open Backup Properties->Sources and uncheck these folders:

- Windows

- Program Files

- System Volume Information

- original_XP_Pro+sp3

Press Save and run again the backup.

I made no such statement about the zip file being 26MB. I only said that it too got broken up upon sending it to you as you requested. I sent you the file as soon as I could, weekend or not. If you had not waited 2 days to respond it wouldn't have been a weekend. As for your statement that the program isn't intended to backup complete disks, well, I was backing up my complete disk with it for the past year until I replaced my HDD with a SSD. I'm sure many others are doing the same. Apparently it's your wish to reserve that function for paying customers. Well, good luck with that. I'll be looking elsewhere.

Hi,
I was trying to help you. Please note the support for FBackup and the software is free so you should not blame us that your email arrived Friday after our working hours.

Both FBackup and Backup4all were not designed to back up your operating system. Our clients understand that and they use the application only for what it was designed.
