FBackup Forum

I'm using FBackup 8.8.335.

I had FBackup saving to an local attached external hard drive which failed. I replaced the external hard drive and mapped it to the same drive letter (E:) the failed drive was using.

I then made a copy of the original FBackup Job in an effort to start the backups from "scratch". I'm using the copied Job for the backup. I deleted the original Job.

The backup type is "Mirror" with both "Fast Mirror..." and "Remove excluded or deleted files..." checked. It's a scheduled backup. The destination folder is "E:\Backups\MyPC\"

After I run the backup, there's a Warning! message. The log file has the following entries near the end:

[9/13/2020 12:01:27 AM] Warning: Cannot delete folder: "E:\Backups\MyPC\"
[9/13/2020 12:01:58 AM] Warning: Cannot delete folder: "E:\Backups\MyPC\"

My questions are: Why would FBackup be attempting to delete the destination folder? Is there a different method or setting I should've used?

Please send us the complete backup log and the .fkc catalog file from the backup destination, to info[at]fbackup[dot]com

I just emailed the log and FKC catalog file. The email has the same Subject as this topic. Thanks...

Mine has done it for years, and still every day I do a backup, the log file states "Warning..." at the end...

So, I have moved or renamed these folders on my Local Drive, and for some reason it does not delete those old Folders on the External Drive.
Is there some setting I am missing?

Hi,

If those folders should be deleted and FBackup says it cannot delete them, it could be a permission issue.
Try to manually delete them.
Do you have the same problem with other folders?
