Hi,
Do you have an administrator account?

Are you using the latest version of FBackup?

Do you know you can monitor your backups remotely with Backup4all Monitor? You can read more here: https://www.backup4all.com/backup4all-monitor.html

hi
I am the only user and administrator on my computer.

Version 4.2 Build 155 - I downloaded the software just 3 weeks ago.

I tried to re-install the software - but with no help.

Do I need first to completely remove the program and then install again?

well, I couldn't complete the installation.

I have got an error message:

"AN error occured while trying to replace existing file: DeleteFile failed: code 5"
I also found that the folder Softland/FBackup 4 is empty.
Should I remove the program and re install?

WHAT WILL HAPPEN WITH THE BACKUP JOBS AFTER REINSTALLATION?

Hi,
Please make sure FBackup is closed when you try to install a newer version.

The backup jobs will be preserved when you reinstall FBackup.

I'm having the same problem, although I haven't managed to get any jobs going yet. I've got v4.3 Build 179 running on Windows 7 64bit. Every time I try to create a back up or even change the options I get "Cannot create file "C:\Users\Me\AppData\Roaming\Softland\FBackup4\FBackup.ini". Access is denied. Do you still want to save this file?"
If I click yes it just comes back up again and pressing no brings up an error occured message. I've tried running as admin and have made sure that the AppData folder can be written to. Any ideas?

I had similar problem as you only I use Vista 64. I found the solution for me was to rename the name Softland to FBackup 4 as below

You Have :

C:\Users\Me\AppData\Roaming\Softland\FBackup4\FBackup.ini
Change to:

C:\Users\Me\AppData\Roaming\FBackup 4\FBackup 4\FBackup.ini
There is a space between FBackup and 4
If it does not work you can always go back and rename it back to Softland. For me it did the trick and it was able to find the whole path no problem but when the word Softland was there it could not find the path at all and hence I could not run the program.
Also when you rename the file and go back to the Fbackup 4 program and open it you will have to re-enter everything as a new job.
If it does not work for you then pretend that I never wrote this

That seems to have done the trick, thanks Phantm!

Hi,
Please make sure you use an administrator account and have enough permissions to modify that file.
