Linking user to the user files

Post by opie2k1 »

I restored my hard drive recently and I have my user folder restored but I don't show up as an "official" user anymore. I looked in the user manual and searched the forum but I can't figure out the correct language to solve this problem. I tried recreating a user with the same name, but it just created a new user with a hyphenated folder name and left the restored folder all alone. Help!

How do I recreate an administrative user in Win 7 and have it link to my restored user files?

Thanks!
Shawn

Hi,

FBackup was designed for data files backup only.
Just put the restored data files in the user folder of the current user account. You should be able to access them from there.
