New install won't run

I just switched from version 4 to 5 and I can't get a backup to run. The appropriate lines of the backup log are as follows:

[09/07/2013 9:16:08 AM] FBackup 5.0.182

[09/07/2013 9:19:43 AM] Ipc warning: Unregister failed : Timeout waiting for a reply to imtUnregister 0

What is the problem. It worked fine in version 4

Hi,

Please make sure you don't have any firewall or antivirus that is blocking FBackup or the bservice.exe application.

Windows 7 (v 6.1 build 7601 SP1 64bit)

Same issue.

I tried with laptop, connected directly to mobile internet, turned off Windows firewall - in this case install worked

But i cannot connect my desktop directly to internet, i use cisco modem/router and i turned off firewall, even turned on DMZ, but still not able to install FB5

Tried FBackup 5.0 build 191

Solution:

i downloaded the full installer and it worked:
http://www.fbackup.com/download/setup/fbsetup.msi

What happens if despite your best efforts, you cannot download the *.msi installation file? Is there a mirror somewhere where I can try to download from. I cannot get FBackup 5.0 to install at all, errors out at 50%. I cannot download the *.msi file (stops downloading at 1% and just hangs there (in both IE and Firefox). Is there anything else I can try. I will be VERY happy to downgrade back to 4.8, but I do not have the installation file for it anymore. Please HELP.....

Hi,

As you described the situation, it seems there is a problem on your side you need to fix.
Please make sure no antivirus or firewall is blocking the download.
