I tried restoring through FBackup (from an FBackup compressed file) but it says it does not recognize the file. Then I tried the extraca all command. I keep getting the following error message:
An unexpected errors is keeping youu from copying the file. If you continue to recieve this error, youu can use the error code to searc hfor help with this problme.
Error 0x80004005: Unspecified Error
NTUSER.DAT

Type: DAT File

Date Modified: 8/24/2011 6:58AM

Size 21.0 MB.
If I say Try Again, it always says to insert Disk 1 of 22. It won't skip either.
Thank you for your help,
Megan Carter

Hi,
Please note FBackup was not designed for system backup and you cannot overwrite files like NTUSER.DAT as it is in use by your OS.

You should use FBackup for data files backup only.

Do you know you can monitor your backups remotely with Backup4all Monitor? You can read more here: https://www.backup4all.com/backup4all-monitor.html

I have no idea what NTUSER.DAT is but I'm pretty sure I don't have a system backup.
All I'm trying to restore are documents, pictures, videos...etc

Hi,
NTUSER.DAT is not a document file and you can skip it. You can also exclude it from the next backups.
