Warnings on Backup

We have recently upgraded our backup disks to 750GB to accommodate the size of our backups, but I am still receiving warnings on the backup that the disk is full. When I look at the disk, I see the backup and a copy of the backup, which never happened before. I have the log file saved and can upload it if necessary. Please help, as we need to get this backup problem resolved.

Which is the most recent backup: the main backup folder or the copy folder?
It is possible the actual backup could not be loaded for some reason and a copy folder was created, starting the backup from zero.
