Where did you put the backup destination? Please note by default it goes to C: drive. The temp folder is automatically deleted after backup execution.
What is the backup size? How much does the C: drive decreases?

Please note on C: drive there is stored the .bkc catalog file and the backup logs. If you have many files, the log and the catalog could be larger.Go to "View->Job Logs->Open log folder" and delete the files inside.
