I am looking to do a backup of some files that are constantly "open". I need to back them up on my network, and I want individual backups from each week. I do not the program to overwrite the files that are there. I.E. If I run FBackup once a week on (example, c:\documents and settings\documents), in a month I want to have 4 backups of the same files.

You cannot do that using FBackup. The number of stored backup versions is limited to 1.

In our commercial edition, Backup4all, you can keep as many versions as you like. There is an option to indicate the number of stored backups or you can keep unlimited versions.

Ok, so I need only one copy of Backup4all to be able to back up the files that are on the network, that are always open. Can I install this one copy on another computer that will essentially be copying the same files, or do I need another license?

I didn't tell you that Backup4all will copy open files over the network as it doesn't do that.

If the source files you want to back up are open, you need to install a copy of Backup4all on each computer. Open files can be backed up only if they reside on a local hard drive.

Even with the commercial edition Backup4 all, will not copy files that are located on a network drive? All source files have to reside on a local computer. Just want to make sure that I understand.
