I downloaded FBackup this morning to my old XP Toshiba and it performed a backup to a thumbdrive wonderfully. I went to my new Windows 8 Toshiba and downloaded FBackup, when I installed it all went well until I tried to run the program, it froze up my new system and I had to hard shutdown and reboot.
What can I do to get FBackup to work on the Windows 8 laptop?

Hi,
Please wait 10 minutes and a bug report will be generated. Send us that bug report to info[at]fbackup[dot]com to see what the problem is.

Do you know you can monitor your backups remotely with Backup4all Monitor? You can read more here: https://www.backup4all.com/backup4all-monitor.html

Hi,
It should appear automatically in a popup or it can be found in the FBackup installation folder.

The only files generated by FBackup are listed as Unins .dat, .msg and an application, nothing else generated and no popups.

Hi,
Is there any event logged in Windows Event Viewer?

There are no events logged by source FBackup, it is as if the program loads without error and then just hangs.

Hi,
Please follow these steps:

1. Download and extract DebugView from http://download.sysinternals.com/files/DebugView.zip

2. Start DebugView

3. Start FBackup and run the backup.

4. Configure DebugView to save the log even if computer crashes.

5. Send me the debug log.
