How to get same structure on backup-drive as on source-drive?

Post by annelie »

Hi
I am a new user of fbackup so sorry if my question is already answer.
I want to backup one of my hard-drives and its file-structure onto another hard-drive.
I want the same structure with folders and files on the backup-drive BUT
when I set this up I get the orginal drives drive-letter added before everything.
Example:
Original disk Annelie_Work(J:) with folder Annelie
When setting this up my backup-drive now gets a destination folder called J:Annelie

I want the destionation drive to NOT have the J: as the main foleder with everything else beneath it.
How do I do to get it like that?

Hi,

Please open Backup Properties->Type. Make sure Mirror type is selected.
Uncheck the "Create full paths" option and press Save.
Run again the backup. That will back up the files without putting the drive letter folder name in destination.

Hi,

I'm glad it works fine now.
Do you know you can monitor your backups remotely with Backup4all Monitor? You can read more here: https://www.backup4all.com/backup4all-monitor.html
