When I run the file backup it takes minutes to backup each file. The first files its trying to backup are very small (kb). I have 800 GB to backup so at that rate it will take all year.

Hi,
What backup destination do you use?

Can you copy those files faster using Windows Explorer?

Do you use any antivirus that is scanning the files during the backup?

I'm backing up one external HD to another, bypassing my internal C drive. When I use Windows Explorer it transfer files at a normal speed. My antivirus is not scanning the HD while I'm trying to backup. Since only 1% of my files change on a weekly basis its too long of a job to transfer all the files everytime I perform a backup.
I would appreciate any help you could give me.
Thanks!

Hi,
We don't have such problems here.

1. Please make a backup test trying to copy some local files to the external drive destination.

2. Make another backup test trying to backup from the external drive to a local destination.

Which backup is slow?
