I back up my PC to an external USB drive.

I then like to backup the USB drive to another external drive for a redundant backup.

When I run a full backup job between external drives Fbackup creates a directory on the destination drive using the name of the backup job and proceeds to create a giant zip file. My backup job is "G to H" and there's a "1_G.zip" file there.
Can someone tell me why it creating this zip file instead of just copying files across?
I'm using Fbackup 4.4 Build 213, Windows 7 64bit

hi,
You need to use the Mirror backup type, not the Full type.

To change that, open Backup Properties (Ctrl+P)->Type.

Select the Mirror backup type and press Save.

Thanks, I believe someone mentioned that the Mirror backup would not remove files from the destination? That is the behavior I'm looking for although traditional mirror backups would remove files from the destination when they don't exist on the source.

Hi,
If you use FBackup with the Mirror backup type, you can remove excluded or deleted files from backup.
To configure that option, please open Backup Properties->Mirror page and check the "Remove excluded or deleted files from backup" option.
