i am a new be to backing up my data so, please excuse my ignorance. i have completed my first system backup. my C drive contained 138gb after backing it up to my external hd it was 110gb on the backup drive. i have a hp computer so ther is a virtual drive D that is used for system recovery i believe, it is 9.56gb and after backing it up to the backup drive it was 9.085gb. this seems like a small compression amount to me there is only 28gb difference between the C drive and the backup drive and only .468gb difference between the D drive and the backup drive. is this normal? am i expecting more than i should? or, did i do something wrong? thanks

Hi,
We use standard zip compression. Some files can be compressed much while the others cannot be compressed at all.

Can you make a comparison by zipping the 9 GB drive with the Windows zipping tool?

Right click ->Send to->Compressed zip
