I know that this is a subject that has probably been beaten to death but I still wanted to discuss further.
I know it has been stated that the user account running the scheduled task has to have admin rights to get proper VSS backup but I was wondering if anyone has come up with some sort of the solution to running a scheduled backup under user rights.
Maybe there is some policy change or service settings we can use to give the user/process specific rights to that task without having to give full blown admin rights. I know I've seen other processes accomplish this from other apps.
I'd like to get a solution that works for both XP and windows 7, even if its 2 different solutions.
Thank you in advance,

Another possibility is to run a script from a remote computer (under a domain admin account) tat can go out and backup client machines.
Any thoughts? Has anyone tried anything like this?
